As of 2022, the total primary energy production in Egypt amounted to roughly 3.89 quadrillion British thermal units. Natural gas was the source with the highest share, with nearly 62 percent of the total energy production. Petroleum and other liquids came next with roughly 36.33 percent, while renewables and others' share was only 2.31 percent.
