MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are small non-coding RNAs that post-transcriptionally regulate gene expression by targeting mRNAs for degradation or translational repression. This project aims at describing the miRNome profiles of the gut, hemolymph and salivary gland tissues from the triatomine bug Rhodnius prolixus, a important insect vector of Chagas' disease.
