1001 Nights Cohort

The dataset includes information from 1075 employees at public Danish hospitals with and without night shift work, who completed a comprehensive data collection. It included blood samples, anthropometric measures, wearable devices for measurement of sleep, daily logbooks and a background questionnaire. The data collection also included one or more of the following: saliva samples (five times in a day) and wearable device data for 7 to 14 days (continuous skin temperature, blood glucose, physical activity, and light). Data can be used for short-term effect studies of circadian disruption and biomarkers of cardiometabolic disease, diabetes and cancer. Data was collected from 2022-2024. Data cleansing and data validation are still in progress. Data can be linked at individual level to information in Danish Working Hour Database - Working Hours (doi:10.7910/DVN/GUFZDI)
