Curated datasets for plant single cell RNA-sequencing studies containing root tissue

This collection comprises single-cell RNA-seq datasets from 14 published studies containing plant root tissue, spanning Arabidopsis thaliana and Oryza sativa from 2019–2025. Samples include wild-type, mutant, and hormone- or stress-treated conditions across developmental stages and tissue types. For each study, both an unfiltered and a filtered list of SingleCellExperiment objects are provided, enabling reproducible re-analysis of cell-type identity, developmental trajectories, and treatment responses across the plant root single-cell transcriptomics literature. Each RDS contains a list of sample-wise SingleCellExperiment objects along with sample-level metadata. Assays include count matrix for exons (counts) and velocyto compatible (spliced, unspliced and ambiguous) count matrix. These datasets are best utilized with the scRNAseqPlants package at Bioconductor.
