Coarse-grained fields from DNS of stably buoyancy-stratified ABL
收藏资源简介:
Each NetCDF contains data dervied from one direct numerical simulation (DNS) of 3 with varying Reynolds number flow in the stably buoyancy-stratified atmospheric boundary layer (ABL) coarse-grained to one of 3 varied resolutions. The file naming conventions are coarse{ FGR }x{ (H)H }{ (V)VV }_Re{ Re_laminar } where FGR is the filter-to-grid ratio (here, always 4), (H)H is the one or two digit number of DNS points per coarsened horizontal grid spacing, (V)VV is the two or three digit number of DNS points per coarsened vertical grid spacing, and Re_laminar is the Reynolds number based on the laminar Ekman layer depth. The DNS variables are destaggered before the centered variables are coarsened with a box filter. The scripts used to coarse-grain the original DNS data can be seen at github.com/adconnolly/CNDLLES.
