"The Talakhaya /Sabana Watershed Conservation Action Plan (CAP ) was completed between March 2010 and December 2011. Two workshops were held with members of the CNMI Division of Environmental Quality (DEQ), Coastal Resources Management (CRM), Department of Lands and Natural Resources (DLNR), and Division of Fish and Wildlife (DFW) as well as representatives from the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Rota Mayor's office, U.S. Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS),The Nature Conservancy (TNC), Pacific Marine Resources Institute (PMRI) and other community stakeholders. Through these workshops the outline of a management plan was developed and later used to generate a draft management plan by agency staff. This plan was taken to the regional TNC CAP meeting where it was reviewed by other regional partners.
