NATIONAL AND CULTURAL SPECIFICS OF PAREMIOLOGICAL UNITS IN ENGLISH AND UZBEK

This paper analyzes the national and cultural specifics of paremiological units (proverbs and sayings) in English and Uzbek, focusing on their semantic, structural, and pragmatic features. The study aims to reveal how cultural codes, worldview, and value systems of both nations are reflected in their paremiological heritage. The comparative approach shows that proverbs function as a mirror of collective consciousness, expressing moral norms, social behavior, and national mentality through figurative language.
