Abundance and biomass of mesozooplankton collected in front of the Danube Delta in May and October 1978

The Gurile Dunarii 1978 dataset contains zooplankton data collected in May and October 1978 in 14 station allong 3 transect in front of the Danube Delta (45°05' – 44°45'N, 30°02'– 29°27'E). Zooplankton sampling was undertaken at 14 stations where samples were collected using a Juday closing net in the 0-10, 10-20, 20-30, 30-40 and 40-50m layer (depending also on the water masses). The dataset includes samples analysed for mesozooplankton species composition and abundance.
Sampling volume was estimated by multiplying the mouth area with the wire length. Taxon-specific mesozooplankton abundance was count under microscope. Total abundance is the sum of the counted individuals. Total biomass Fodder, Rotifera , Ctenophora and Noctiluca was estimated using a tabel with wet weight for each species an stage.

古列勒杜纳里1978（Gurile Dunarii 1978）数据集包含1978年5月与10月，在多瑙河三角洲前缘（北纬45°05′—44°45′，东经30°02′—29°27′）的3条断面沿线14个站位采集的浮游动物数据。本次采样在14个站位开展，使用朱迪闭合采网（Juday closing net）按0~10m、10~20m、20~30m、30~40m及40~50m水层分层采集样品（采样分层亦会根据实际水团情况调整）。该数据集包含针对中型浮游动物（mesozooplankton）物种组成与丰度开展分析的样品数据。采样体积通过网口面积与网绳长度的乘积估算得到。科研人员在显微镜下计数各分类单元特异性的中型浮游动物丰度，总丰度为所有已计数个体的总和。轮虫动物门（Rotifera）、栉水母动物门（Ctenophora）及夜光藻（Noctiluca）的总生物量，通过各物种与发育阶段的湿重对照表估算得到。
