WFS Share of area area

The indicator describes the proportion of green spaces and recreational areas within the settlement area (e.g. park/green area, allotment garden, weekend settlement, golf course) in the area area. High indicator values occur mainly in larger cities, as the structurally shaped settlement area in rural areas usually borders directly on the open space. Over time, there are major differences in value in some Länder, which are partly based on no real land use change, but rather a modelling-related reassignment (see: AAA migration effects) More information at http://www.ioer-monitor.de/index.php?id=44&ID_IND=S08RG.
