eDNA samples from within the Horns Rev 1 offshore wind farm in the Danish North Sea

We collected and sequenced eDNA samples from both within the Horns Rev 1 offshore wind farm in the Danish North Sea and at control sites. Sampling was carried out during October 2023 at Horns Rev 1 Offshore Wind Farm located on the western coast of Jutland, Denmark. The sampling points were chosen along the wind turbine locations and outside (ie east, west, and south) of the wind farm. Samples were collected on board maintenance and crew transfer vessels. The recorded ocean temperature at the time of sampling ranged from 16.9-17.1?C. Water samples were collected from the surface level at a depth of around 10 cm and immediately frozen at -20?C until further processing.
