This project describes how data was collected, stored, preserved and processed in the Bachelor's thesis "Concentration changes of aerosol particles during burning of different candles". The author of this Bachelor thesis is Aleksandra Pankina. The aim of this research is to gather information about indoor pollutants, solid aerosol particles, their measuring methods and impact on human health. During the work, model experiments burning of different candles were performed indoors, and measurements of the concentration changes of fine aerosol particles were realized using the EDM-365 spectrometer. Analysis of metallic elements using ICP-MS was done for PM1 aerosol particles, ash of candles and candle salt. Context and methodology 1) Bachelor thesis in University of Latvia 2) To gain better understanding of candles burning processes indoors, gain the information indoor pollutants, solid aerosol particles, their measuring methods and impact on the human health. 3) This dataset was created by uding TUWien DMP tool in Introduction to Research Data Management study purposes. Technical details 1) Whole dataset is divided in 3 parts - the literature review, the experimental part and results evaluation. Each of the categories follows specific naming which is based on the topic. 2) Final file was saved in PDF format, therefore basic PDF file reader is needed, however versions before were saved in .xlsx and .docx for which Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word software is needed. 3) All literature resources can be found in platform SCIENCEDIRECT with additional DOI codes. Further details 1) Data is validated with institutions member signature and it is accessible with institutions provided credentials or with granted access from institutions members.
