North Pole Environmental Observatory (NPEO) PMEL/CRREL Ice Temperature and Mass Balance Buoy Data

This data set contains ice temperature and mass balance data from drifting ice buoys near the North Pole in the Central Basin of the Arctic Ocean. Buoys were deployed each April by the Pacific Marine Environmental Laboratory (PMEL) and the Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory (CRREL). The buoys drifted with the ice pack, and data were collected via satellite transmissions. Ice temperature data were collected year-round at 10 cm depth intervals twice daily, every twelve hours. Data are in tab-delimited ASCII text format.

本数据集包含北冰洋中央盆地北极点附近海域漂流冰浮标获取的冰温与冰物质平衡数据。此类浮标于每年4月由太平洋海洋环境实验室（Pacific Marine Environmental Laboratory, PMEL）与寒区研究与工程实验室（Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory, CRREL）布设。浮标随海冰群漂流，数据通过卫星传输采集。冰温数据按10厘米深度间隔全年采集，每日两次（每12小时一次）。数据采用制表符分隔的ASCII文本格式存储。
