Digital Archive from an Archaeological Evaluation South of High Bank, Melford Road, Sudbury, March 2023

This collection comprises site photographs, a CAD drawing and site records from an archaeological evaluation on land south of High Bank, Melford Road, Sudbury undertaken by Colchester Archaeological Trust in March 2023. The evaluation revealed five ditches, five pits/tree-throws and a post-hole. Most of the features were undated with only two finds recovered, a piece of post-medieval peg-tile from the post-hole and an undatable fragment of iron nail from one of the pits/tree-throws.

本数据集涵盖2023年3月由科尔切斯特考古信托基金会（Colchester Archaeological Trust）在萨德伯里梅福德路高岸南侧地块开展的考古勘探项目所获的现场照片、计算机辅助设计（CAD）图纸及现场记录。本次勘探共发现5条沟渠、5处坑穴/树坑遗迹以及1个柱洞。绝大多数遗迹未测定年代，仅出土2件遗物：柱洞内出土1件中世纪后期榫瓦（peg-tile），另有1件出土于其中一处坑穴/树坑遗迹的铁钉残片，无法判定年代。
