资源简介:
This dataset supports the research publication titled "Development of Optimised Basalt FRP Macrofibre-Reinforced Concrete with Evaluation of Fresh, Mechanical and Durability Performance" and provides detailed experimental data on the performance of fibre-reinforced self-compacting concrete (SCC) in International Journal of Civil Engineering.
The study was conducted between November 2023 and January 2025 as part of the UK Department of Energy Security and Net Zero–funded project “Dispersed Non-Metallic Reinforcement for Energy Efficient Manufacturing of Precast Concrete” at Queen’s University Belfast in collaboration with FP McCann Ltd.
The dataset contains results from 13 structured files, including:
• Fresh properties (slump flow, V-funnel, and J-ring tests)
• Mechanical properties (compressive strength, tensile splitting strength, direct tensile strength)
• Durability indicators (volume of permeable voids, electrical resistivity, chloride migration coefficient)
• Flexural performance (Limit of Proportionality and residual strengths FR1–FR4)
• Macrofibre characteristics (geometry, content, and distribution)
• Stress-strain behaviour (using Digital Image Correlation)
A total of twelve BFRPmf-reinforced SCC mixes were tested with three macrofibre types and four fibre volume fractions (0.25%, 0.5%, 0.75%, 1.0%), along with a plain SCC reference mix. The data were collected and processed according to international standards (e.g. BS EN, ASTM, NT BUILD), and custom test setups were used where applicable (e.g. for direct tensile testing with DIC).
Who is this data for?
This dataset is intended for:
• Researchers and academics in civil and structural engineering
• Concrete material scientists and durability experts
• Engineers and designers of fibre-reinforced precast systems
• Code developers and standardisation bodies
How can the data be used?
Users can apply this data to:
• Compare fibre performance under fresh, mechanical, and durability conditions
• Validate numerical models and simulations of fibre-reinforced concrete
• Design sustainable and corrosion-resistant precast concrete elements
• Conduct meta-analyses or machine learning model training for materials optimisation
Data accessibility and structure:
The dataset is openly available via [repository link / DOI], and each file includes clearly defined variables with units and standardised abbreviations.
