Leiomyoma vulvar in maned wolf (Chrysocyon brachyurus) - case report

ABSTRACT Description of leiomyoma vulvar in a female castrated Chrysocyon brachyurus, , ten years of age, and maintained in captivity. Based on the clinical evaluation, monitoring of nodular formation of slow and progressive growth, and preliminary diagnosis suggestive of neoplasia, the tumor mass was excised and anatomopathological identification of the leiomyoma was done. Complementary radiographic and ultrasound examinations did not indicate the presence of metastases. Surgical resection proved to be satisfactory as a clinical practice, and there was no relapse.

【摘要】 本研究报道一例10岁龄、雌性绝育且饲养于人工圈养环境中的鬃狼（Chrysocyon brachyurus）的外阴平滑肌瘤（leiomyoma vulvar）病例。通过临床检查，观察到缓慢进行性生长的结节状病灶，结合疑似肿瘤的初步诊断，对肿瘤块实施切除手术，并经解剖病理学鉴定确诊为外阴平滑肌瘤。辅助放射影像学与超声检查未发现转移灶。手术切除作为临床诊疗手段效果理想，术后未出现复发。
