Paraburkholderia madseniana strain:RP11 Genome sequencing and assembly

Paraburkholderia madseniana RP11 was isolated from forest soil on minimal media with 4-hydroxybenzoic acid (PHB) as the sole carbon source. The organism dominated the metabolism of PHB in forest soils and in microcosms where its activity was correlated with the mineralization of soil organic carbon (i.e. soil priming). This organism possesses a large suite of dioxygenases, laccases and alcohol oxidases and paralogs of 4-hydroxybenzoate 3-monooxygenase.
