资源简介:

Sinking particulate matter was collected using swimmer-excluding, time-series sediment traps at two sites over the southeastern Bering Sea shelf, one in the middle shelf domain, the other in the outer shelf domain. Phytoplankton and Zooplankton were collected using a 53 um mesh CalVET net, and Zooplankton were collected using 153 um and 333 um mesh bongo nets, near the two sediment trap deployment sites and at a station in the middle shelf domain north of the Pribilof Islands. Zooplankton were sorted by species. Plankton and sediment trap samples were analyzed for stable C and N isotopic composition using a Europa Scientific Roboprep C/N Biological Sample Converter/20-20 Stable Isotope Analyzer. The sediment trap samples were also examined using an inverted microscope, and the major identifiable components such as Phytoplankton and fecal pellets were enumerated. Selected sediment trap samples were examined using scanning electron microscopy. Deposited content: descriptive metadata only; underlying research data are not included.
