Class III (Intensive) Cultural Resources Survey of Approximately 2,530 Acres of Reclamation Withdrawn Land Along the Salt River at Coon Bluff: Report

The Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation) has identified approximately 2,530 acres of land for a Class III (intensive) cultural resource survey for Section 110 inventory purposes. The land was withdrawn for the Salt River Project (SRP) and is located upstream from the Granite Reef Diversion Dam on the south side of the Salt River. The withdrawn land is within the Tonto National Forest (TNF).
At the request of Reclamation, Archaeological Consulting Services, Ltd. (ACS) conducted an intensive cultural resources survey of the project area to provide an inventory and assessment of cultural resources that might occur within the parcel. The fieldwork was conducted between June 12 and 23; and July 24 and August 2, 2006 by Linda M. Schilling, Adam Archual, Eric Carlson, Shawn Fackler, Carl J. Gordon, Tom Jones, Joe Pearl, and Sarah Schreyer, working under noncollection permit MES192 issued by TNF. Nineteen sites and 131 isolated occurrences were identified.

Gordon、Tom Jones、Joe Pearl及Sarah Schreyer于2006年6月12日至23日、7月24日至8月2日期间完成，相关工作依据通托国家森林核发的非采集许可编号MES192开展。经调查，共确认19处文化遗迹与131处孤立遗存点。
