This data set supports the evaluation of the safety and efficacy of dispersants using benzene as a model hydrocarbon. Brine shrimp larvae are used as a model for marine zooplankton with two endpoints. Mortality was evaluated after 24hr exposure to benzene, dispersants, and benzene/dispersant co-exposure in the first data set with an associated set of images showing particle agglomeration on the brine shrimp surface. Heat shock protein 70 (hsp 70) expression data after 24hr exposure to benzene, dispersants, and benzene/dispersant coexposure is used as a sublethal endpoint in the second set to evaluate general stress in the brine shrimp after exposure to low doses of the same material. 本数据集支持以苯作为模式烃类,对分散剂的安全性与有效性开展评估。研究选取卤虫无节幼体作为海洋浮游动物的模式生物,设置两项检测终点:在第一部分数据集中,对卤虫无节幼体经苯、分散剂及苯/分散剂联合暴露24小时后的死亡率进行评估,同时附带一组展示卤虫体表颗粒团聚现象的图像;在第二部分数据集中,以热休克蛋白70(Heat shock protein 70, HSP70)的表达量数据作为亚致死终点,评估卤虫无节幼体在低剂量暴露上述受试物质后所产生的整体应激水平。本数据集为相关学术论文的发表提供数据支撑。
