M6A methylation in Aedes aegypti and its alteration by dengue virus

The role of RNA modification in viral infection has been widely studied in viral infections in mammals; however, studies on this topic in insects are rare. The aim of the present study was to explore one of the most common RNA modifications, N6-methyladenosine (m6A), in the mosquito Aedes aegypti across the transcriptome, and whether it is altered by dengue virus (DENV) infection.
