Data and R Script for Pyraloidea Moth Morphology and Community Analyses Along an Elevational Gradient

This Figshare repository contains the datasets and R script supporting our study on Pyraloidea moth communities across an Ecuadorian mountainous forest gradient. The data include both a complete species-abundance table (749 morpho-species), of which a partial photo-based dataset (212 species) was used to derive morphological measures (e.g., aspect ratio, fore-wing length, wing loading). The accompanying R script details all analytical steps—from data processing and calculation of community-weighted means (CWMs) to Generalized Additive Models (GAMs) and ordination analyses (CAP and PERMANOVA)—that underpin our findings on trait–environment relationships, elevational patterns, and community assembly processes.
