WAVE DIRECTION and Other Data from FIXED PLATFORM From North Pacific Ocean and Others from 19810817 to 19940323 (NODC Accession 9400105)

This accession contains Wave Energy (wave height and wave period) Data from Hawaiian coast collected over 13 years in North Pacific Ocean, NE Pacific (limit-180). Total three sets of Wave Energy Data comprise this accession. The first set was collected from Barbers Point, Oahu, Hawaii (21:19:4 n, 158:7:2w). These data are part of a series spanning 6/29/86-1/25/90. The second set was collected from Barking Sands, Kauai (22:08:9 n, 158:48:2w). These data are part of a series spanning 10/21/82-09/16/93. The third set was collected from Makapuu, Oahu, (21:19:7 n, 157:35:1w). These data are part of a series spanning 08/17/81-03/23/94. Data were submitted through Pat Caldwell of NODC from Dr. Bill O Rielly of Scripps Coastal Data Information Program. Each file in this series corresponds to data collected by a single instrument installed for a given period of time. Each file has been assigned a separate NODC reference number. The documentation includes the instrument, location, dates, and depth. Significant wave height was measured as cm, significant wave period was measured in seconds.
