Administrative units — historical data 2005

The data set contains the municipal and county divisions in the country applicable as of 23 January and 23 July 2005 with the most accurate limits registered digitally and collected in one data set. The municipalities are bounded by national border, territorial border, demarcation line in the sea, county border and municipal border. The counties are bounded by national border, territorial border, demarcation line in sea and county border. In addition, the data set includes baseline and 1 nautical mile, which are legal lines off the coast. The units contain properties that tell about official municipality. and county numbers. The official Norwegian and Sami names for counties are taken from the SSR. The geometry is derived from the matricle, which is updated by the municipalities.
