Flood in Lombardy, Italy (2024-05-14)

On 14 May 2024 at 14:00, an intense weather system hit northern Italy bringing heavy thunderstorms, in Lombardy and Milan municipality. Heavy rainfall caused the Lambro River to overflow with flooding in neighboring areas and causing difficulties in the city's secondary network. The situation is still ongoing, precipitation is still expected for the next few hours although the forecast looks better for following days.
