Callithrix jacchus (common marmoset) Genome , mCalJac1, paternal haplotype

The common marmoset (Callithrix jacchus) is a small, social monkey native to Brazil. With numerous attributes making it advantageous to study in the laboratory, the marmoset has become a prominent model in biomedical research. Sponsored by Guojie Zhang of the University of Copenhagen, a trio of samples were collected from a male juvenile and its parents by Stephanie Marcus of Erich Jarvis’ Lab in the colony of the Winrich Freiwald Lab at The Rockefeller University, and were used to generate a high-quality reference genome as part of the G10K-VGP.

普通狨（Callithrix jacchus）是一种原产于巴西的小型群居猴类。因其具备诸多适于实验室研究的特性，普通狨现已成为生物医学研究领域的重要实验动物模型。本研究由哥本哈根大学张国捷（Guojie Zhang）发起资助，洛克菲勒大学温里奇·弗赖瓦尔德（Winrich Freiwald）实验室的饲养种群中，埃里希·贾维斯（Erich Jarvis）实验室的斯蒂芬妮·马库斯（Stephanie Marcus）从一只幼年雄性狨及其双亲身上采集了三份样本；上述样本被用于构建高质量参考基因组，作为G10K-VGP项目的组成部分。
