Results of interstitial water (IW) geochemistry analyses from the above given hole of International Ocean Discovery Program (IODP) Expedition 389 (Hawaiian Drowned Reefs). The offshore phase of this expedition took place between 2023-08-31 and 2023-10-31 onboard multipurpose vessel MMA Valour sailing from and to Barbers Point Harbor, Hawai'i, USA, followed by the onshore phase from 2025-02-06 to 2025-02-26 at the Bremen Core Repository (BCR) hosted at MARUM – Center for Marine Environmental Sciences, University of Bremen. Sampling for IW geochemistry took place offshore immediately upon core recovery where soft sediments where recovered and using Rhizon samplers. The Rhizone samplers were left in the sediment for extraction of interstitial water for a minimum of 2 hours, aiming at drawing enough IW per sample from the core sections to fulfill the IODP standard IW sample splitting plan that included as many eight fractions. 本数据集包含国际大洋发现计划(International Ocean Discovery Program, IODP)389航次(夏威夷淹没礁项目)前述钻孔的间隙水(interstitial water, IW)地球化学分析结果。本航次分为海上与陆上两个作业阶段:海上作业于2023年8月31日至2023年10月31日开展,搭载平台为多用途科考船“MMA Valour”,往返航点为美国夏威夷州巴伯斯角港;陆上处理阶段于2025年2月6日至2025年2月26日在不来梅大学海洋环境科学中心(MARUM – Center for Marine Environmental Sciences)下属的不来梅岩心库(Bremen Core Repository, BCR)完成。间隙水地球化学采样于岩芯回收后即刻在海上进行,针对获取的软沉积物样品,采用Rhizon采样器(Rhizon sampler)开展取样。该采样器需留置在沉积物中至少2小时以完成间隙水提取,目标是从各岩芯段获取足量间隙水样品,以符合IODP标准间隙水样品分样方案——该方案要求将单一样品拆分为至多8个组分。除岩芯段间隙水样品外,本数据集还采集了表层海水(surface seawater, SSW)参考样品(详见数据集《IODP 389航次(夏威夷淹没礁项目)表层海水地球化学分析结果》)。质量标记“#0”代表测量结果低于检测限。[…]
