Survey on Traffic Accidents in Harstad and Trondheim Municipalities, 1994

The dataset is collected from the "Survey on Traffic Accidents in Harstad and Trondheim Municipalities" that Statistics Norway carried out during fall 1994 on assignment from the Department of Community Medicine at the University of Tromsø.

The point of departure for the survey was a road safety project that has been in progress in Harstad since 1985. The project grasps, among other things, road renovation and traffic accident -and injury registering. Trondheim is chosen as control area because the traffic situation in this town has many similarities with Harstad, at the same time as Trondheim has not carried through any long term traffic safety campaign.

The aim of the survey is to investigate the effect of informational measures on traffic safety in Harstad, compared to Trondheim.

本数据集源自挪威统计总局（Statistics Norway）于1994年秋季受特罗姆瑟大学（University of Tromsø）社区医学系委托开展的《哈尔斯塔特（Harstad）与特隆赫姆（Trondheim）市交通事故调查》。

本次调查以哈尔斯塔特自1985年起持续推进的道路安全项目为研究起点，该项目涵盖道路翻新、交通事故与伤情登记等多项内容。特隆赫姆被选为对照区域，原因在于其交通状况与哈尔斯塔特高度相似，且未开展过任何长期道路安全宣传活动。

本次调查旨在对比哈尔斯塔特与特隆赫姆的道路安全状况，评估信息类措施对哈尔斯塔特道路安全的影响。
