Atlas of the landscapes of the Haute-Garonne: the Plaine de la Garonne

This dataset proposes the geographical outline of the landscape unit of the Plaine de la Garonne. Located in the centre of the department, the landscape unit of the Plaine de la Garonne is bordered by reliefs to the east and south, on the one hand by the hills of the Volvestre, and on the other by the Lesser Pyrenees. The first ones delimit the Garonne valley by their steep cliffs, the latter announce the proximity of the Pyrenean chain, offering almost everywhere a magnificent panorama. On the western fringe, it is the difference in relief with the medium terraces that marks the delimitation, while in the north, it is the urbanisation of the Toulouse agglomeration.
