Replication Data for: \"The Strength of Long-Range Ties in Population-Scale Social Networks\"

This dataverse provides data and simulation scripts for replicating the results reported in Park, Blumenstock, and Macy: (A) Bidirected Twitter @mention network edgelists of the largest connected components of eight countries - United States, Japan, United Kingdom, France, Turkey, Netherlands, South Korea, Singapore. (B) simulated data from the wormhole effect simulation experiments are included. (C) Scripts: tie range computation script, wormhole effect simulation scripts.
