Reconstruction of the vegetation of Morasko hill during the meteorite impact based on sedimentary ancient DNA from paleosoil

We sampled four paleosoil samples nearby the biggest Morasko crater. paleosoil represent a surface from the time of impact of meteorite Morasko covered by clay ejecta layer. We extracted DNA using PowerSoil Pro kit and modified Dabney method for sediments and sequenced using metabarcoding of trnL (UAA) intron (Taberlet et al. 2007) and shotgun metagenomic approach.
