Kelp Marine Raching Seq

Kelp aquaculture is considered one of the most effective methods for carbon sequestration and has been shown to produce substantial amounts of recalcitrant dissolved organic carbon (RDOC). However, the role of the microbial carbon pump (MCP) in this process remains limited in understanding. In this study, metagenomic sequencing were employed to elucidate the characteristics of MCP in the sediment of kelp aquaculture areas and its contribution to RDOC turnover.
