Australian National Shipwrecks

The Australian National Shipwrecks Database (ANSDB) records all known Maritime Cultural Heritage (shipwrecks, aircraft, relics and other underwater cultural heritage) in Australian waters. Historic shipwrecks (>75 years) are protected under the Historic Shipwrecks Act (1976). Other wrecks that are not yet historic are protected under the Navigation Act (2012). \n\nThe public database is located at:\nhttps://dmzapp17p.ris.environment.gov.au/shipwreck/public/wreck/search.do\nor can be viewed via an online spatial viewer at https://dmzapp17p.ris.environment.gov.au/shipwreck/public/maps/shipwreck-map-search-load.do\n\nThe data is maintained by state and territory agencies (practitioners) and is updated either manually or by bulk data harvest, this varies by each state and territory.This data has been licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Australia Licence. More information can be found at http://www.ausgoal.gov.au/creative-commons.\nCC - Attribution (CC BY)\nUnlocated wrecks are currently given a point location near where we believe the wreck is located. This is not necessarily accurate. The Historic Shipwrecks Act protects vessels that are located or unlocated.

澳大利亚国家海难数据库（Australian National Shipwrecks Database，ANSDB）收录了澳大利亚海域内所有已探明的海洋文化遗产（Maritime Cultural Heritage），包括海难沉船、航空器、遗物及其他水下文化遗产。其中，船龄超过75年的历史海难残骸受《1976年历史海难法》保护，未达到历史年限的其他海难残骸则受《2012年航海法》保护。

本数据集由各州及领地的相关机构（实务从业者）负责维护，更新方式分为手动更新与批量数据采集，具体方式因各州和领地而异。该数据集采用知识共享署名3.0澳大利亚许可协议（Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Australia Licence）进行授权，更多相关信息可访问http://www.ausgoal.gov.au/creative-commons查询，许可类型为署名（CC BY）。

目前，未被定位的沉船残骸会被赋予一个近似其推定位置的点位坐标，该坐标未必精确。《1976年历史海难法》同时保护已定位与未定位的船舶残骸。
