Business Data Literacy Competencies: Workforce Perceptions and Practices

The purpose of this research is to investigate how data literacy competencies are used in the workplace, the level of preparation and skills employees feel they have, and how this can inform data literacy education for undergraduate students. The authors build on their scholarship which proposes seven baseline business data literacy competencies for use in higher education to prepare students for their careers (Condon &amp; Pothier, 2022; Pothier &amp; Condon, 2019). This dataset is from a survey of working professionals within the supply chain and logistics industries. The survey addresses worker’s self-perception of data literacy skills and in what ways the business data literacy competencies are reflected in their daily work. 本研究旨在探究数据素养能力（Data Literacy Competencies）在职场中的应用方式、员工自我感知的自身准备程度与技能水平，以及该探究如何为本科生的数据素养教育提供参考依据。本研究作者基于其既往学术成果，提出了适用于高等教育阶段、助力学生做好职业准备的七项基础商业数据素养能力（Business Data Literacy Competencies）（Condon & Pothier, 2022; Pothier & Condon, 2019）。本数据集源自针对供应链与物流行业在职专业人士开展的调研。本次调研聚焦于从业者对自身数据素养技能的自我认知，以及商业数据素养能力在其日常工作中的具体体现形式。本研究旨在解答如下核心问题：所提出的数据素养能力，在供应链与物流专业人士的职场场景中，与专业数据素养实践的契合程度如何？
