San Gennaro Catacombs "Zona Greca"

Part D2 of the "Zona Greca" (D) is located in the upper level of the Catacomb and dates to the 3rd century A.D. Once packed with later burials, now showing graves in its floor and 9 "arcosolia" (containing multiple graves) disposed in 2 registers in its walls. Paintings are partly preserved. A multicolored frame system divides the surface in geometrical motives, in which different objects are placed such as birds, shells, leafy or flower branches, grapes, filled vessels, ornaments. “希腊区”(Zona Greca，编号D)的D2分部位于地下墓穴上层，年代可追溯至公元3世纪。该区域曾被后期墓葬完全填满，如今地面可见墓葬遗迹，墙体上则分布着分两层排布的9座“拱顶墓龛”(arcosolia，内含多座墓葬)。部分壁画得以留存：一套彩色边框系统将壁面划分为若干几何纹样区域，区域内布置有鸟类、贝壳、枝叶花枝、葡萄、盛器及装饰物等各类物象。墙体、侧柱下段及半月形拱顶处可见希腊语铭文，推测为逝者姓名。相关参考文献：1.
