These files contain characteristics of ventilated cavities formed in the wake of a two-dimensional wedge at different flow conditions, i.e. flow inertia, gas ventilation rate and ventilation strategies. The main aim of this work was to examine the closure region of the cavities and how it influences gas ejection rates, geometry and gas distribution in the cavity. The void (gas) fraction fields of ventilated cavities are obtained using X-ray densitometry. The full details of the study can be found in the underlying manuscript. This dataset will help researchers for the validation of their numerical models aimed at simulating complex bubbly flows.
本数据集包含不同流动工况下二维楔形物尾流所形成的通气空腔的特征参数,所述流动工况涵盖流动惯性、气体通气速率与通气策略三类。本研究的核心目标为探究空腔的闭合区域,以及该区域如何影响空腔内的气体逸出速率、几何形态与气体分布情况。本研究采用X射线密度测量法(X-ray densitometry)获取了通气空腔的空隙(气体)分数场。相关研究的完整细节可参阅配套手稿。本数据集可助力研究人员验证其用于模拟复杂气泡流的数值模型。
