This data set was acquired with a ship-based Thermosalinograph, Echosounder Sonar, Meteorological Sensor, Navigation system, and Fluorometer during Nathaniel B. Palmer expedition NBP1002 conducted in 2010 (Chief Scientist: Dr. Jose Torres). These data files are of JGOFS format and include Visible Radiation, Bathymetry, Conductivity, Meteorological, Salinity, Fluorescence, Temperature, Infrared Radiation, and Navigation data. This data set was created from calibrated data decimated at 1-minute intervals. Several fields are derived measurements from more than a single raw input. Data were acquired as part of the project(s): Collaborative research: Possible climate−induced change in the distribution of Pleuragramma antarcticum on the Western Antarctic Peninsula shelf., WAP−flux: New Tools to Study the Fate of Phytoplankton Production in the West Antarctic Peninsula, and Reconciling the marine and terrestrial records of glaciation of the South Shetland Islands, and funding was provided by NSF grant(s): ANT07-41348.
本数据集依托2010年开展的“纳撒尼尔·B·帕尔默”号(Nathaniel B. Palmer)考察航次NBP1002采集所得,首席科学家为何塞·托雷斯(Jose Torres)博士。考察期间使用船载温盐计(Thermosalinograph)、回声测深声呐(Echosounder Sonar)、气象传感器(Meteorological Sensor)、导航系统(Navigation system)及荧光计(Fluorometer)完成数据采集。
本数据集文件采用JGOFS格式,涵盖可见光辐射、水深测量、电导率、气象、盐度、荧光、水温、红外辐射及导航数据。本数据集基于经过校准并以1分钟为间隔抽稀的原始数据生成,部分字段为多源原始输入衍生的测量值。
本数据采集工作隶属于以下三项研究项目:合作研究:南极半岛西部陆架区域南极侧带鱼(Pleuragramma antarcticum)分布的气候诱导变化;WAP-flux项目:研究南极半岛西部浮游植物产物归宿的新工具;南设得兰群岛冰川作用的海洋与陆地记录整合研究。本研究由美国国家科学基金会(NSF)资助项目ANT07-41348提供资金支持。
