Manual mappings of biological samples to CL, CLO, UBERON and BTO ontologies derived from public regulatory sequence datasets

This file contains manual mappings of biological sample types to identifiers of entities from the Cell Ontology (CL), Cell Line Ontology (CLO), UBERON, and BRENDA Tissue Ontology (BTO). The annotations were compiled from a total of 27 public datasets providing information on regulatory sequences identified in a variety of biological samples. In addition to direct mappings, ontological inferences were applied to annotate tissue types and anatomical structures when samples were identified as cell lines. Similarly, when samples corresponded to cell types, associated anatomical structures were inferred. An additional column specifies the sample type category, indicating whether the sample corresponds to a cell line (CL), cell type (CT), or anatomical structure (A). In cases where the sample type could not be clearly determined, a “-” value is assigned.
