PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device using a veneer which can realize the performance of light expression excellent in the designability so that the feel unique to the veneer can be visually recognized at the turn-off of a light source, only the texture or hue unique to the veneer can be visually recognized at the turn-off of the light source, the light displaying any character or mark on a portion of a veneer surface can be visually recognized at the turn-on of the light source. SOLUTION: A display device includes a thin film layer 2 on one side of a veneer 1 made of the natural wood, and a transparent base material 3, a metallic concealing layer 4 as a first concealing layer, a light diffusion layer 5, a light toning layer 6 and a second concealing layer 7 on the surface of the veneer 1 on the opposite side to the thin film layer 2. The metallic concealing layer is arranged on the veneer side with respect to the second concealing layer and the light toning layer. The order of the film thickness is the veneer>the transparent base material>the thin film layer>the concealing layer=the metallic concealing layer=the light diffusion layer>the light toning layer. The order of the light transparency is the transparent base material=the thin film layer>the veneer>the light diffusion layer>the light toning layer>the metallic concealing layer>the concealing layer. 要解决的技术问题:提供一种采用天然木单板(veneer)的显示装置,可实现设计性优异的发光表现:光源熄灭时,仅可直观观测到天然木单板独有的纹理与色调;光源点亮时,可在单板表面的部分区域看到所显示的文字或标记。技术方案:一种显示装置,包括天然木材制成的单板1,其一侧设有薄膜层(thin film layer)2;在单板1与薄膜层2相对的另一侧表面,依次设有透明基材(transparent base material)3、作为第一遮蔽层的金属遮蔽层(metallic concealing layer)4、光扩散层(light diffusion layer)5、调光层(light toning layer)6以及第二遮蔽层7。其中,金属遮蔽层相较于第二遮蔽层与调光层更靠近单板一侧。各层膜厚关系满足:单板>透明基材>薄膜层>遮蔽层=金属遮蔽层=光扩散层>调光层。各层透光率关系满足:透明基材=薄膜层>单板>光扩散层>调光层>金属遮蔽层>遮蔽层。附图选登:图1B
