Combined transcriptome and miRNA-based analysis of the molecular mechanism of collection preference in Italian honey bees

A combined transcriptomic and miRNA-based analysis of the molecular mechanism of collection preference in Italian honey bees was conducted, mainly selecting the long-range sensor tentacles and the proximal sensor mouthparts. Overall design: We then performed gene expression profiling using data obtained from RNA-seq of the tentacles and beaks of Italian honeybees from three experimental groups.
