Mobilized bacterial communities in soil with seepage water triggered by strong rainfall

We aimed to investigate mobilized bacterial populations from maize-rooted topsoil to deeper soil layers upon strong precipitation, and uncover potential taxon-specific transport behaviour. Our findings extend current understanding of the organismic connectivity between soil compartments and the role of Bacteria in carbon fluxes in soil.
