ATR controls meiotic crossover distribution at local and global scale in A. thaliana

This study aims to investigate the role of ATR kinase in regulating the crossing-over distribution across Arabidopsis genome. Inactivation of ATR leads to increase in crossover rate in chromosome arms and a reciprocal decrease in pericentromeres. These changes are associated with a moderate increase in the total number of crossovers. Additionally, this study provides insights on the meiotic recombination in atr mutants, at the fine scale of previously described Chili Pepper interval.
