THE HOT ISM OF THE BLUE COMPACT DWARF GALAXY HE 2-10

The blue compact dwarf (BCD) galaxy He 210 is an excellent nearby laboratory tostudy the formation and evolution of hot plasma in the presence of ongoing andintense starburst activity. Previous multiwavelength studies have revealed thatthe energetic output of the starburst has led to a bipolar outflow of hot gasexpanding from the nuclear starburst region into the ambient HI halo with avelocity of virgul250 km/sec. Deep XMMNewton Xray data will allow us to study themetallicity and thermodynamic properties of the extended Xray emission in He210 and put constraints on its starburstdriven evolution. truncated!, Please see actual data for full text [truncated!, Please see actual data for full text]
