该数据集在湖南省各年统计年鉴的基础上进行人工摘录、规范化整理，包含了行政区概况（市、县、乡镇个数）、经济、社会、人口、农业、城市建设与环境保护等方面的指标。

This dataset is manually extracted and standardized from the annual statistical yearbooks of Hunan Province, covering indicators including administrative region overview (number of cities, counties and townships), economy, society, population, agriculture, urban construction and environmental protection. The dataset consists of a single Excel file titled "Hunan Provincial Socio-economic and Demographic Statistical Dataset (2005-2006).xlsx", which contains 7 worksheet tabs covering administrative divisions, population, economy, society, agriculture, urban construction and other related fields.
