This work describes the methodology used to study the leishmanicidal and anti-inflammatory effects of 5,6-dihydro-5,6-dihydroxy-2-phenylquinoline (DFQ1) and 4’-hydroxy-2-phenylquinoline (DFQ2) that were, respectively, products of the biotransformation of 2-phenylquinoline (FQ) by Aspergillus fumigatus and Aspergillus flavus.
