Biodiversity monitoring in Brunswick Valley Heritage Park Mullumbimby

Brunswick Valley Heritage Park began to be planted in the 1980s by Russ and Beryl Maslen. At the time a grassy paddock along the Brunswick River it is now (2016) a young forest of trees, vines and other plants, wildlife and fungi. Two nest boxes were installed recently. Approximately 30 fungi have been observed but no one is very sure of what we have.
The monitoring project, of all species, will help discover hidden treasures.

布伦瑞克谷遗产公园（Brunswick Valley Heritage Park）于20世纪80年代由拉斯·马斯伦（Russ Maslen）与贝里尔·马斯伦（Beryl Maslen）发起营建。该园区最初仅是布伦瑞克河沿岸一片牧草繁茂的围场，截至2016年时，已发展为一片涵盖乔木、藤本植物及其他植被、野生动物与真菌（fungi）的幼龄林。近期园内安装了两个巢箱。目前已观测到约30种真菌，但尚无人员能确切确认其具体种类。针对园内所有物种开展的监测项目，将助力发掘这片区域的隐匿宝藏。
