Novel biomarker for prostatic ductal adenocarcinoma identified using spatial transcriptomic analysis

Prostatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDA) is a rare but clinically aggressive variant of prostate cancer. We performed spatial transcriptomic analysis on PDA tissues and identified a PDA-specific biomarker. Overall design: For this study, three PDA and three non-PDA tissues were analyzed. Differentially expressed genes (DEGs) were identified from PDA lesions in each specimen, and the commonly upregulated genes were selected as candidates for PDA-specific markers. Among these candidates, those showing lower expression in non-PDA tissues were considered potential novel markers for PDA.
