A Partisan Gap in the Supply of Female Potential Candidates in the United States

This archive contains materials necessary to replicate the analysis in "A Partisan Gap in the Supply of Female Potential Candidates in the United States". We have attached an extract of the GSS 1972-2010 time series data set in Stata format. The file name is "gss7210extract.dta". This file was created by running the following Stata command on the original (300+MB) data release file "gss7210_r2b.dta": keep year age coninc conrinc wrkstat educ sex partyid wtssnr region prestige prestg80 occ occ80 fepol fefam fepresch fechld All items in the Output and Plots subfolders can be replicated by re-running ReplicationScript.R, given the contents of the Data folder. Note that the bootstrap replications will take several hours to run, but progress information will be displayed. Make sure you have at least 3 GB of free memory to run the script.
