This dataset provides monthly and annual average sediment transport rate data for hydrological stations in the Daxia River Basin. It covers the data from 1956 to 1990, including the monthly average sediment transport rate, annual average sediment transport rate, annual total sediment load, annual sediment transport modulus, annual maximum daily average sediment transport rate and their corresponding occurrence times of 4 hydrological stations in the basin. The unit specifications are as follows: statistical time interval: month; annual average sediment transport rate: kg/s; annual total sediment load: 10^4 t; annual sediment transport modulus: t/km²; annual maximum daily average sediment transport rate: kg/s. This dataset was compiled based on the comparison tables of monthly and annual average sediment transport rates from the annual *Hydrological Data of the Yellow River Basin* published by the Hydrological Bureau of the Ministry of Water Resources of the People's Republic of China.
