Spatiotemporal shifts in composite weather stress across US croplands

The study involved development of agriculture-specific 32 weather stress indices and two composite metrics, weather stress divergence and similarity using these weather indices. These two metrics are weighted aggregation of 32 indices with weights derived using agro-ecological zones developed by IIASA. The indices and metrics are developed using three observed raw weatehr data products: Daymet (1980-2023), PRISM (1981-2023) and Livneh (1981-2018). The data are in the netcdf fromat with following files: ws_similarity_{product_name}_{start_year}_{end_year}.nc: Overall resilience metrics -- weighted aggregation of similarity metrics from 32 weather stress indices. Here, product_name indicates the raw data product used, and start_year(end_year) is the start(end) year of that product. ws_divergence_{product_name}_{start_year}_{end_year}.nc: Overall instability metrics --weighted aggregation of divergence metrics. Here, product_name indicates the raw data product used, and start_year(end_year) is the start(end) year of that product. the zipped files is the collection of raw values, AEZ specific weights, and individual resileince and instability metrics of 32 weather indices prior to aggregation.
