Conducting operational hydrological environment surveys and research in the Ross Sea to obtain basic environmental information including marine hydrology and meteorology in this region, collect key information on marine environmental and resource-related factors, and clarify the current status and evolving trends of the marine environment in the Ross Sea. This work possesses significant scientific significance and application value for studies such as polar physical oceanography, the response and feedback of polar hydrological environments to global change, and the impacts of polar hydrological environment variations on biological activities.
This dataset comprises underway ADCP (300K) data collected during the 38th Chinese Antarctic Scientific Expedition in the Ross Sea, with contents including current speed, direction and other relevant parameters.
